Imagine This: 'Allah Calling Your Name'

He Announces Your Name.

I hope you are in a moment of calm, even if the world around you feels like it’s spinning a little too fast.

We all have those days, don’t we?

The days when the heart feels heavy, and we wonder about our place in the vastness of life…

There is a comforting truth about Allah’s love that I want to share with you—a truth that might make the burdens feel lighter.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) shared something incredible with us. He said, “If Allah loves a person, He calls Jibreel (alayhis-salaam), saying: ‘Allah loves so-and-so; O Jibreel, love him.’ And then Jibreel announces to all the angels in heaven: ‘Allah loves so-and-so; therefore, love him.’ And the inhabitants of heaven would love that person, and then acceptance would be granted on earth for them.” (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, Hadith 66)

Just pause for a second and picture it. Imagine Allah, out of His infinite love and kindness, calling your name. Imagine Him telling Jibreel to love you, and then Jibreel, the mightiest of angels, announcing your name to all the angels in the heavens.

Can you feel the weight of that honour?

Can you sense the depth of being cherished in a way that is beyond this world?

Sometimes, life’s struggles make us wonder if we are really seen, really valued. We carry this secret worry that maybe our challenges are signs of Allah’s displeasure.

But, Habeeby, Allah’s wisdom is far greater. His love does not mean we won’t be tested—it means that in every test, He is there, holding us close. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) faced immense challenges, yet his trials reflected the depth of his closeness to Allah.

When you feel burdened, know that these moments do not diminish Allah’s love for you. You are not abandoned.

Every hardship, every tear, is known to Him. Every time you choose what is lawful, every time you leave what He has forbidden, you are walking on a path that He loves. And on this path, you are walking toward Him, and with each step, you are more beloved to Him.

Imagine, as you strive and struggle, Allah calling your name to Jibreel, and Jibreel calling it to the angels, filling the heavens with love for you. This is the kind of love that transcends anything this world could offer. When you feel this love, your heart finds a peace that is deep and abiding—a peace that holds you steady even in the most challenging times.

If today is heavy, remember: you are seen, valued, and loved by the One whose love matters most. Let this truth sink in, fill your heart, and lift you with every breath.

May Allah grant you strength in every hardship and may His love be the light that guides you through. Allah's Love is sweet, strive to attain His love. May Allah Love You.
